Spermatocytic Seminoma With Sarcoma: An Indication for Adjuvant Chemotherapy in Localized Disease
Spermatocytic seminoma (SCS) with sarcoma is an extremely rare testicular tumor with only 11 cases previously described in the literature. We present the 12th case of SCS with sarcoma in a 29-year-old male. SCS itself is an uncommon germ cell tumor with a relatively indolent clinical course that mostly affects males around the fifth decade of life. Sarcomatous differentiation of SCS occurs in 5...

متن کاملA rare case of bilateral sequential spermatocytic seminoma
Spermatocytic seminoma (SS) is a rare testicular neoplasm characterized by a palpable, painless, slowly enlarging mass in the testis. Even more rare is a synchronous bilateral presentation. Only eight cases of bilateral SS have been reported in the literature, of which three cases were present with synchronous testis enlargement, and five were sequential. Here, we report an additional case of s...
متن کاملBilateral spermatocytic seminoma: a case report
Spermatocytic seminoma (SS) is a rare entity, accounting for 2%-12% of all seminomas; amongst those, fewer than 10% are bilateral. These may occur synchronously or metachranously. We report here a case of bilateral SS in a 63-year-old patient, who initially presented with bilateral testicular masses. In our search of the literature, this represents the fifth documented case of synchronous, bila...
متن کاملFirst case of bilateral, synchronous anaplastic variant of spermatocytic seminoma treated with radical orchifunicolectomy as single approach: case report and review of the literature.
Spermatocytic Seminoma (SS) is less common than the Classic variant, as its incidence ranges between 1.3% and 2.3% of all seminomas. Generally SS is diagnosed in men older than 50 years. The Anaplastic variant of Spermatocytic Seminoma is characterized by an earlier onset when compared to SS, but a benign behavior in spite of its histological patterns similar to Classic Seminoma. We reported th...
